Kroma Design
We create beautiful, micro-interactive sites
Hey there 👋🏼 Glad to see you here
My name is Feli, and welcome to my little corner of the internet. Based in Malaysia, I have been a web developer specializing in Webflow since 2017, with a passion for designing and a strong background in psychology.
Currently working as a full-time freelancer under Kroma Design, my services specialize in designing and developing websites, but I also enjoy taking on fun projects such as logo design, car wrap design, and lottie animation.
If I'm not working, you'll find me on the dance floor dancing salsa or bachata, hiking through hills, or somewhere in the ocean surfing or diving.

Personal Journey
It began as a personal curiosity rather than formal education. While I was studying, I experiment with platforms such as Wordpress, Blogger, and Wix for leisure. Upon graduating, I secured my first full-time role as a content creator, which also involved some website maintenance due to the startup nature of the company. This multifaceted role allowed me to constantly learn and adapt, an aspect I thoroughly enjoyed.
I first heard about Webflow in late 2017 and quickly realise how powerful Webflow is. In 2019, I landed a full-time position as a Webflow Developer cum Designer, and the rest is history.
Have a platform where you can showcase your work. Make sure you have an updated portfolio on hand that can be easily shared with potential clients.
Both my local and international projects have been sourced through recommendations from friends and family. Also, try to maximize your exposure through multiple platforms, including online channels, social gatherings, and participation in workshops.
I got my first full-time as a web developer in 2019 mainly because of the personal project that I built using Webflow in 2017. At the time, I was a working as a content creator and I would learn and build the website on the evening which took me 6 months to finally published that site. I also volunteer to couple of my friends to build them a site for their small businesses. My then employer saw my work and reached out if I would like to work as a Webflow freelancer for his company, which eventually turns into a full time.
After landing my full-time as a web developer, I also learn html, css, and javascript to overcome Webflow limitation. I took a Udemy course by Mosh Hamedani - JavaScript Basics for Beginners, which was provided by the company. Leverage hard customers especially when you just starting out. You can really learn a lot from them (especially with the ridiculous request and tight deadline!). Also, participate in workshops, engage with communities (like Floxies!), and have a mentor can significantly accelerate your growth.
Begin with a personal project or take on online challenges like the Webflow Challenge or #100daysofcode, to name a few. Sign up for Dribbble/Behance, share your work in the Webflow showcase, and register on Codepen.io. Before you know it, you'll have a portfolio ready to present to your clients or potential recruiters. Reach out to NGOs or friends/family with small businesses to design and build their websites—either for free or for a small fee.
Look out for apprenteship/internship programme, for Malaysian you can try to register for this gov funded programme - K-Youth Development Programm.
Taking this first step is crucial to get your foot in the door in any industry.
